The present Regulation is enacted under the Stray Animal Act. For the purpose of the present Regulations “LIS” means Livestock Identification Services Ltd. Incorporated and “delegated power, duty or function” means a power, duty or function delegated under section 2 of the Act. Section 6 lists permitted activities of the afore-mentioned Livestock Identification Services Ltd. The text – consisting of 23 sections – deals with the following aspects: financial reports, handling of public auction proceeds, accounting, privacy, records, notice to Minister, Appeal Board, limiting legal liability.
