Regulation on the essential requirements for devices that produce optical radiation and the conditions and measures for the protection from optical radiation.

This Regulation provides for standards necessary to determine the: maximum permitted levels of optical radiation, users of the specific device and their responsibilities, patients in therapy and all other persons exposed to optical radiation. This Regulation further prescribes all technical characteristics and operating conditions of the devices that produce optical radiation in order to preserve human health and in order to prevent environmental pollution. The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
