This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of elaboration, approval and realization of the projects aimed at reduction of emissions and absorption of greenhouse gases. The aforesaid project shall be classified in three categories: (a) low scale project related to renewable energy sources up to 15 megawatt or aimed at improvement of energy efficiency entailing reduction of energy consumption to the yearly amount of 60 gigawatt/hours or reducing emissions within 60 metric kilotonnes equivalent to carbon dioxide in the projected period; (b) ordinary project related to modification of land tenure of increasing forest cover; (c) project aimed at increasing absorption of greenhouse gases through modification of land tenure or increasing forest cover; and (d) associated project, uniting several low scale projects that are not the components of large scale project.
