This Executive Decree approves the Technical Regulation for the designing, construction, operation and maintenance of facilities storage of petroleum products. This Technical Regulation, consisting of nine Chapters and 2 Annexes, defines and sets out the technical and safety conditions to be met by these facilities and the classification of oil products (including the risk of fire or explosion), being applicable to storage facilities and equipment for regulating the implementation, maintenance and repairs, security provisions in exploration and environmental protection. In addition, it also prescribes offences and penalties. It does not apply for the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
