This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of organization, conservation and management of protected areas of regional significance, setting up protected areas of local significance with a view of conservation of unique ecosystems and typical natural complexes, and biosphere reserves. Protected areas shall be classified as follows: (a) natural parks; (b) state nature reserves; (c) nature monuments; (d) environmental recreational areas; (e) dendrological parks and botanical gardens; and (f) green belts. Boundaries of all protected areas shall be indicated in-situ information signs. In line with the purpose of setting up protected areas of regional significance within the boundaries thereof can be established functional areas with different protection regime.
