This Law defines the category of natural thermal baths on the territory of the Republic of Srpska, autonomous part of the Federation of Bosnia and Hercegovina. The rules here stipulated are closely related to the: general definitions, conditions and procedures for the recognition and declaration of a certain geographic area/zone as natural thermal area; necessary natural healing factor to be recognized (evidence of quality and therapeutic value of a natural healing factor, here classified as underground thermomineral, thermal, mineral and radioactive water, healing mud, healing sand and healing gases, healing air, and other natural environment conditions used for therapeutic purposes); issues regarding the mandatory health care and disease prevention; issues regarding the rule and responsibility of state authorities as regards the process of analysis and approval of requests for the official declaration of thermal bath/area. This Law also sets the offences and penalties (see article 14).
