These Operational Code, consisting of 10 Sections, are enacted to strengthen the independent management responsibility of producers, expose producer information and promote local production and consumption. Traceable bar codes are applicable to aquatic products cultured or fished in Taiwan and aquatic products processed in Taiwan. The Text provides for the application for traceability bar codes, review and issuance procedures, and the certification documents. After examination and approval, a contract with the review unit shall be signed. The Text further make provisions, for use and control of traceability bar codes, measures for inspection, offences and penalties.
