For the period from January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2004, the number of Rhincodon Typus catches shall be limited to 65. In addition, the limited number of Rhincodon Typus catches shall be reviewed year by year depending on the effectiveness of the implementation and the status of resource maintenance. When the number of Rhincodon Typus catches reaches 65 during the implementation period, the public shall be informed of this by announcements, media or broadcasting, and Rhincodon Typus catches will be prohibited thereafter. The Rules further provide for obligations for notification of catches, restrictions and prohibitions, penalties, etc.
