The Recommendation provides that a minimum mesh size of 35mm should be used when fishing for blue whiting with pelagic trawls in the regulatory area of the North East Atlantic Fisheries Convention (i.e. those waters beyond the zones under the fisheries jurisdiction of Contracting Parties).
