Marine Environment Classification and Quality Standards.

These Marine Environment Classification and Quality Standards are formlated in accordance with the Article 8, Paragraph 1 of the Marine Pollution Prevention and Control Act. The marine environment is divided into three categories: A, B, and C, and their applicable properties are as follows: 1. Category A: Applicable to be used as first-level aquatic product water, second-level aquatic product water, industrial water, swimming and environmental conservation. 2. Category B: Suitable for second-level aquatic product water, industrial water and environmental conservation. 3. Category C: Suitable for environmental conservation.
