Complementary Law No. 52 providing for the Socio-Economic-Ecological Zoning of the State of Rondônia.

This Complementary Law provides for the Socio-Economic-Ecological Zoning of the State of Rondônia, as a basic instrument for planning and guiding governmental policies, necessary for the harmonious and integrated development of the State, in the social, economic and ecological areas. It defines six socio-economic-ecological zones, according to the specific regional characteristics and capacity, with following aspects: Zone I - Characterized by the highest concentration of small and medium-sized rural properties resulting from the colonization process; high rate of anthropic action, with significant alterations to the vegetation cover. Zone 2 - Characterized by the occurrence of small, medium and large rural properties, resulting from the land regularization process, as well as fractions of public land; medium intensity of anthropogenic action; Zone 3 - Characterized by alluvial soil environments of the Madeira, Machado, Mamoré and Guaporé river basins; low occupational intensity (typically riverside); with a high incidence of fishing resources. Zone 4 - Characterized by the occurrence of predominantly medium and large rural properties with a low incidence of private domains. Zone 5 - Characterized predominantly by the presence of medium-sized rural properties. Zone 6 - Characterized by the restriction or impossibility of private property, very low human occupation and infinite anthropic action.
