This Act amends the Goa Non-Biodegradable Garbage (Control) Act, 1996 (principal Act). In section 2 of the principal Act, definitions for brand owner, importer and producer are added. Section 5 is substituted which lays down the duty of Owner, Occupier, Producer, Importer and Brand Owner to collect and deposit Non-Biodegradable garbage in the specified place. The Schedule to the principal Act is amended to include glass and aluminium at serial nos. (14) and (15), respectively.
