This Law establishes the Aquaculture Incentive Programme (PROPEIXE), linked to the State Secretariat for Agriculture and Land Affairs, aims to stimulate, support and expand aquaculture for human consumption, within the highest standards of quality and technical, economic, social and environmental sustainability. The Fish Industrialization Incentive Programme (PROPEIXE-Indústria), linked to the State Secretariat for Industry, Trade and Mining, aims to add value to Mato Grosso's fish within standards of sustainability, competitiveness and technological modernization, as well as meeting the growing demands of national and international consumers. Aquaculture producers interested in enjoying the benefits of the PROPEIXE must meet the minimum quality, environmental protection and phytosanitary requirements, as well as tax requirements.
