Decree No. 1.268 regulating the procedures for launching and collecting fees arising from the provision of public services and/or the exercise of police powers in environmental matters, as well as defining the undertakings and activities subject to environmental licensing.

This Decree regulates the procedures for launching and collecting fees arising from the provision of public services and/or the exercise of police power by SEMA/MT, relating to the analysis of the rural environmental register, inspection and survey for the purposes of granting rights of use and authorization, registrations and environmental licences for undertakings and activities that use environmental resources, considered to be effectively or potentially polluting or those that, in any way, may cause environmental degradation. The fee for rectifying environmental licences will be the same as that defined in Annex V, item 08, of Law No. 11.179 of 27 July 2020, which deals with the rectification of terms and authorizations. The fee for renewing an Operating Licence uses the same calculation methodology as for issuing an Operating Licence.
