The present Decree contains provisions on environmental compensation, compensation for organic production, and compensation for natural or other area-specific constraints, as referred to in Articles 70 and 71 of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 establishing rules on support for strategic plans to be drawn up by Member States under the common agricultural policy (CAP Strategic Plans) and financed by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) and by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). The environmental compensation, compensation for organic production, and compensatory allowances are part of Finland's strategic plan for the Common Agricultural Policy 2023–2027, approved by the European Commission. The Decree specifies the conditions and requirements that must be met to qualify for compensation, as well as procedural aspects.
