This Recommendation of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) concerns a Multi-annual Management and Conservation Programme for tropical tunas. It consists of VII parts. Part I contains general provisions for interim conservation and management measures by CPCs. CPCs shall implement a 15- year rebuilding programme for bigeye tuna starting in 2020 and continuing through 2034, with the goal of achieving BMSY with a probability of more than 50%. The text provides for catch limits for bigeye tuna, capacity management measures, management of FADs, control measures covered by the programme, management procedures and management strategy evaluation.
