This National Ordinance, in its last consolidated version, establishes the Meteorological Service in the country, in order to collect and analyse national data, and act as information and knowledge centre for meteorological, climatological and other geophysical matters. The Ordinance concerns: permanent and uninterrupted observation of meteorological and climatological facts and phenomena; recording of data and publication of information on weather events; issuing official storm and hurricane warnings; regular preparation and issuance of maritime meteorological information and warnings for ports and shipping in the inland waters, coastal waters and surrounding marine areas of Curaçao; preparation of a policy plan.
