This Resolution of IOTC establishes the Technical Committee on Management Procedures (TCMP) to strengthen the link between scientific advice and management decisions in the tuna fisheries of the IOTC area. Co-chaired by the Commission Chair and the Scientific Committee Chair, the TCMP is tasked with improving communication, supporting the development and implementation of management procedures (including management objectives, reference points, and harvest control rules), clarifying institutional roles, and ensuring scientific outputs are presented in decision-ready formats, with its outcomes feeding directly into the Commission’s annual deliberations.
