This Regulation provides for the measures to prevent the establishment and spread within the Union territory of Anoplophora glabripennis (Motschulsky), measures for its eradication, where it is found present in that territory, and measures for its containment, when eradication is no longer possible. These measures include risk-based annual surveys for the specified pest outside of demarcated areas in the Union territory; contingency plans; establishment of demarcated areas; annual surveys in demarcated areas; and eradication and containment measures, such as felling of infested plants and plants with symptoms caused by the specified pest and their removal, examination and safe disposal. The Member States shall annually submit to the Commission and to the other Member States a report on the measures taken and their results during the preceding calendar year pursuant to this Regulation.
