Comprehensive Agro Business Policy for Gujarat.

The Comprehensive Agro Business Policy for Gujarat (2016) establishes a framework to promote agro-industries, agricultural value addition, rural entrepreneurship, and employment through the development of integrated value chains and agri-clusters. The policy provides financial and fiscal incentives for investments in post-harvest infrastructure, including cold storages, pack houses, silos, food parks, irradiation facilities, and export-oriented processing units. It supports micro, small and medium enterprises, rural collection and primary processing centres, and offers targeted assistance to women, youth, local communities, and differently abled entrepreneurs. The policy also promotes market development, export competitiveness, quality certification, skills enhancement, public-private partnerships, and electronic marketing systems. Environmental sustainability is addressed through support for organic farming, agro-waste utilization, and compliance with environmental and pollution-control requirements. Implementation is coordinated through state agencies, research and extension institutions, and horticultural and agricultural development missions to strengthen agricultural growth and rural economic development in Gujarat.
